Who can benefit from hypnotherapy

The pursuit of healing can include a variety of professionals including physicians, counseling, rehabilitation, and medications. The services offered by Lotus Hypnosis are designed to complement, not replace, your current team of providers. Hypnotherapy provides you with the opportunity to access your subconscious mind to create a heightened state of awareness, insight and focus. Under the guidance of hypnosis, you will be able to be more open to suggestions to making healthful changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors.

Clients seeking hypnotherapy services can vary greatly. Some of the most common focus areas include stress management, anxiety, chronic medical conditions, performance issues (test taking, public speaking, athletics). Others seek assistance with smoking cessation, weight loss, phobias and pain management.

When

The scheduling calendar on the contact page is used for appointments. You will receive a confirmation email in addition to a reminder prior to your session. Failure to cancel a session within 48 hours will result in a $75 fee. How many sessions will I need? The number of sessions will depend on your goals and achievements. For many clients, the benefits of hypnotherapy lead to interest in expanding their self awareness and growth. Ultimately, each client determines the length of participation.

How

Many clients seek out hypnotherapy to change behavior. If this applies to you, an audio recording of the hypnosis session will be sent via email. One of the most common questions people have for me is, how many repetitions does it take? There is a popular idea out there that it takes 21 days to make a habit. Assuming you engage in the new behavior every day, a three-week commitment seems pretty manageable. Unfortunately, the 21 days idea is a myth. The same is true if you’ve heard it takes 30 days or any other number of days. There are too many unknown variables, and so it is simply an incalculable equation. It is recommended that the audio recording become a daily part of your evening wind down time before bed. Since you will be experiencing deep relaxation, you should not listen while driving or engage in any activity which would be unsafe during this time. Your subconscious mind will be the target of hypnosis. As a result, it is fine to fall asleep while listening to the audio. Fortunately, your subconscious mind still engages while you are sleeping.
